Tandy had no idea what had happened. One minute she was with Ty, cuddled up into his side with his arm around her and listening to his promise that they would get the man responsible for trafficking the girls. For what he had done to her.

Then she had started to feel strange like a strong dizzy spell taking over. Just like somehow she had lost her center, her anchor to the earth, and started to come apart. That was seconds before she literally started to come apart, watching in horror as her body slowly turned into ash as Ty looked on with similar horror on his face. It was the last thing she saw before her world went dark.

But it felt like it was only a few seconds before she was suddenly standing, still feeling dizzy and lost but like she was finding her center again. At least until the moment her eyes fell on Ty and realized that he somehow....looked different.

Not that it really mattered as she drew in a shaky breath, trying to find her voice. "What the hell was that?"
